Why do we pray? Salah is far more than a daily duty: it is a standing appointment with our Creator, a source of peace, discipline and nearness that shapes the whole of life.
A direct connection with Allah
Five times a day, prayer invites us to pause, turn away from the noise of the world, and stand before Allah. It is a rhythm of remembrance that keeps the heart awake and grateful.
The fruits of prayer
Inner peace
In the act of bowing and prostrating, the restless heart finds stillness. The Qur’an describes prayer as a source of tranquillity for those who establish it with presence.
Discipline and gratitude
Prayer structures the day around remembrance, teaching patience, punctuality and thankfulness. It is a gift that asks only a few minutes yet transforms the rest.
Protection from wrongdoing
When performed sincerely, prayer becomes a shield, gently restraining us from what is harmful and drawing us toward what is good.
“Indeed, prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds.” (Surah Al-‘Ankabut 29:45)
Praying with presence of heart
The goal is not merely to complete the movements but to be truly present: to understand what we recite and to feel that we stand before the Most Merciful. Learning the meanings of Salah, and the rulings (ahkaam) that keep it correct, brings the prayer to life.
Our Ahkaam & Wajibaat course teaches Salah step by step, according to Fiqh e Jafria, so that every prayer is both correct and heartfelt.
